The Barrie Association of Volunteer Administrators (BAVA) recently celebrated volunteers through a photography exhibit at a local art centre.
The complexity of the problems the world faces reaffirms the power of volunteering as a way to mobilize people to address those challenges. As managers of volunteers, BAVA believes in the potential of people to make a difference and hopes the work inspires people to engage in volunteerism – to engage with their own knowledge and capacities and play an essential role as citizens shaping their own communities.

Many thanks to BAVA and photographer Rebecca Hall
for sharing these inspiring images. In keeping withe spirit of this exhibition, the photographer, Rebecca Hall, volunteered her time for this project and as she says, it was so rewarding.
